Thelma is our future star in the show ring and is also shining at obedience training. International breed specialists love her, and so do we.

 

Thelma is due to return to the showring in 2008 after a long break, concentrating on obedience school to improve her confidence. She is doing so well she will have a go at her first obedience trial soon.

 

Well, it was worth all of the training—she attended a show on the weekend and coped very well. It was not a perfect performance in the ring, but she was far more confident and now that she has that show “under her belt” with nothing bad happening, it is onwards and upwards.

 

She has entered two obedience trials in February as her next project, so watch this space (or the trial ring)!

 

Thelma has her first CCD pass—now all we need is uninterrupted training and trialing (and nice weather!) to get the next. She came in season the day before her last trial—bless her spotty socks!

 

Last weekend, Thelma achieved her CCD title with her second pass on the Saturday and her third pass on the Sunday. Also on the Sunday she was third place in the ring, and highest scoring club member for CCD! Quite a haul of sashes and trophies for the day!

 

Thelma will be entering her first Novice trial in September, and will be back in the show-ring at the end of August.

 

Look out for Thelma in the open bitch class at the Dalmatian Nationals in Sydney on Sunday 18 April 2010 (as long as she is not in season, that is!)
